SUMMARY of The Danger of Cramming by Dian Ratna Mahita (1206276354)

The article The Danger of Cramming, by Keith Ablow, shows that most students, when exam week comes, push theirselves to study by staying up all night. Although being alert provides time to study, students will have an error of their memory because of less bedtime. It is called Intellectual Lapses, it decreases their focus. The result of staying up all night is different, it depends on someones minimum time of sleep. The article stated, Students who drink too much coffee will suffer intellectual deficit and students who use many amphetamine will face auditory hallucinations. Students who dont use anything to stay alert only need one full night of rest to recover from their sleep deprivation. On the other hand, others cant sleep because they feel stress, until it become insomnia. I recommend students to study regularly and avoid any exaggerated nervous during exam week, so they can have a normal bedtime.
