Adding, Subtracting,

multiplying, and
Dividing Negative and
positive numbers
Adding and subtracting numbers can really
trick me. I knew slightly how to subtract
negatives, and I had a little experience with
adding a negative and a positive. But I got
confused when the lesson started giving
problems a little more scrambled and harder.
Though after working with adding and
subtracting negative and positive numbers
together, I got a lot more comfortable. Then
the activity got a little more advanced and we
had to work on multiplying and dividing
integers. Though it really wasn’t as
complicated as it seemed, as long as I knew a
negative times a positive is a negative and a
negative times a negative is a positive. We had
to solve problems like 1--5+ (6--4) when I got
really comfortable, and I can tell you, the
answer to the problem I gave you is 16. I chose
this lesson because the lesson was interesting
and a little challenging because we had so
many lessons on integers.
