FOR THE FALL 2013 SEMESTER Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 1:15pm IVC Broadcast This course satisfies the Breadth Social Science (BSS) requirement.

This course introduces different cultures and ways of life from around the world, selecting actual cases to illustrate how people live in each major world region. Join the fun as we embark on a world tour starting with Sub-Saharan Africa, then the midEast, then India, and China. The second half of the class proceeds with Indonesia in SE Asia, Oceania, Columbus discovery of the New World, Latin America, then back to Europe before finishing with a look at Russia and other states in transition towards capitalism. Are you Planning on an international career in business or policy or the US Foreign Service? Majoring or taking a minor in anthropology? A future volunteer or missionary who may work with people abroad? A future teacher who needs to better understand the contemporary world? Then this course is for you!
