DISCUSSION Week 8 Discussion After reviewing numerous documents associated with the Doctoral Study, I have come to the conclusion that residency 1 would be appropriate once a student finishes the first 3 classes in their program of study. I believe that by then each student should have a vision for their doctoral

study. The residencies are places where students can receive a ton of information and guidance for their doctoral study. There are also chairs that students will meet who could possibly help us craft the perfect doctoral study. I have already registered for the first DBA residency in National Harbor Maryland from December 26-30. I am anticipating a great experience and meeting all the available chairs that I will be able to select from. I chose to wait until December for my first residency because the college I work at is closed down for winter break, and thus I would not have to use any personal or vacation time. I plan to attend the second residency approximately 6 months before I complete the program.
