ASSASSINS CREED: BROTHERHOOD

ROME UPGRADES FAQ

Remember the Villa restoration in the last game? Well, its back and its back bigger than before. This time, well be in charge of renovating Rome from the ground level [OR EVEN DEEPER]. The renovation will start in DNA Sequence 03 with Ezio rebuilding the mercenaries, thieves and courtesans HQ in the city. Once these missions are over, you will be free to start and continue your job whenever you please. The renovation is not entirely as same as it was in ACII. The first stop you need to take here is at the nearby Borgia tower to burn it down to the ground. There are total of twelve Borgia towers in the city and you will take out two of them during the storyline. As for the others, you need to voluntarily destroy them, by killing its captains and then by setting them to fire; this will liberate surrounding area from the Borgia control allowing you to freely do your job. Once an area is free, all its stores can be accessed and opened using your hard earned money. But, the trick is to maximize your profit to support yourself and then jump down to the bigger fishes on the lake. Start off by opening all the banks in the city, banks are the highest money lenders and they also widen your coffin. A friendly remembrance if you have forgotten, filled deposit chest will cease to receive periodical income. So, its either you take a trip to the nearby bank once in every few hours or widen your chest capacity. The second on the list are the stores. Blacksmiths and doctors plays a major role among the shops, so start off with them. Renovate the each type one at a time to kick up the economy with your limited resources. Reopen all the blacksmiths and doctors in the city and then move onto the tailors and finally, to the art merchants. When you complete reopening all the shops of each kind, theyll offer discount up to 15%, giving you enough pennies to spend on yourself. Next on the list are the horse stables and aqueducts. Horse stables of course, increases the number of horses in each area long with replacing normal horses with higher breeds such as, the war horses, which are more steadier in combat and good looking in common interest. As for the aqueducts, they are bit costlier than the other properties but they pay up in equal terms in return and also gives access to some new locations and is very important when you are hunting for glyphs, flags and other collectibles as some of them located on top of them. The fourth name in the list are the tunnel entrances, the cheapest assets in the game which also pays cheap income but makes our life a whole lot easier with its fast traveling option. These little four walled room with a metal gate doesnt cost much and you can renovate them at any point you want, even before the banks if you are getting pissed traveling around the city manually. But, just dont count on them to pay for your pocket money. Last but one are the empty buildings that you can assign to one of the three fractions namely, the mercenaries, the thieves and the courtesans. There are total of nine vacant buildings and you can give to any fraction other the Assassins [WHICH IS REALLY DUMB. I MEAN IF OTHERS CAN GET MULTIPLE BUILDINGS THEN WHY NOT US?]. It doesnt matter to whom you give them and they dont even pay as much as the small tunnels does. But, you will get more hirable troops of that fraction in that area i.e. you will find more hirable mercenaries in the area if you give a vacant place to the mercenaries and their price will also drop a bit, which isnt really a big deal as we dont bother to hire them since we got a group of our own to call for free. Hey, ever dreamed of owning your private arena like the Colossuem or the Pantheon? Then, heres your chance to make them true at least in the game. The last but not the least is the super expensive landmarks. There are total of thirteen landmarks in the city that you can purchase including the famous Colossuem but the problem is how they cut a hole in our pocket. Each of these will cost thousands of florins, so keep them for the last and renovate them when you have the necessary resources.
