An annual event, the AMA State Advocacy Roundtable provides an opportunity for general counsel, lobbyists, and policy makers to address and to develop strategies regarding the important health issues affecting the state. The conference also enables members to share ideas and network with other AMA members and staff. Established in 1847, the AMA remains dedicated to improving health outcomes and health care for patients, advancing medical education, and ensuring physician satisfaction and efficient health care delivery to patients. The organization is governed by a board of trustees that establishes the policies and standards for all medical professionals.
