A SUCCESSFUL CIVIL ENGINEER

To become a successful civil engineer, we must have the courage, ability and lead people. We cannot measure the ability of a person by just looking at his/her outside appearance because persons are immeasurable. He may be small black handsome, but an intelligent one.

Engr. Roberto C. Rivera was born on November 6, 1968 at Sta. Filomena Abulug, Cagayan. He enter and graduated his primary school at Sta. Filomena Elementary School. He also finishes secondary at Abulug National Rural And Vocational High School. He Graduated Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) at St. Louis College of Tuguegarao City on March 1989 and passed his board examination on December 1989, he is married to Mrs. Naty Rivera and blessed with five kids. He is employed at Florencio L. Vargas construction from 1990-2010 permanent. His first project under Florencio L. Vargas construction is the Zinarag Bridge at Appari, Cagayan. He is also the supervisor of Laoag to Allacapan road improvement project at Pamplona section, and Sampaguita to Tamban road at Solana to Alcala west. There are also various buildings, roads and bridges project under LGU, DPWH, NIA and private organization. He is a municipal consultant engineer from 1995-1998.

Because of the eagerness to served his beloved home town, he enter to the world of politics. He is a Sanguniang Bayan Member from 1998-2007 because of his good reputation he stayed that long. After that he won as a Barangay Captain in their Barangay at Sta. Filomena Abulug, Cagayan from year 2007 up to present.

At present he has his own retailer and construction firm located at Junction Libertad Abulug, Cagayan.
