Alarm module on Volkswagen Golf & Jetta 1994 & up

On the factory alarm module you can find the doorpins as well as the trunk and hood pins. The wires for the doorlocks and alarm arm & disarm are also found at this module. Unlock/disarm pin 6 GREEN requires a double pulse to unlock the doors, a single pulse will disarm only. On some older models the GRAY lock wire may be YELLOW/RED and the GREEN unlock wire may be RED/BLACK. The Alarm module on the Golf and the Jetta is located beneath the headlight switch behind the driver s side dash. Remove the lower dash panel and remove the 10mm bolt below the light switch, which hold the module in place. The module can then be lowered out of the dash to expose the 2 connectors.

REMOTE START WITHOUT DISARMING ALARM

Use a relay to open the black ignition sense wire (pin 4) during remote start. This will allow you to keep the alarm armed while the vehicle is running under remote start. Pin 85 should be connected to an output from your remote starter that energizes on start and stays on until the unit shuts down. Connect your modules starter wire output to pin 6 on the 6 pin connector RED/BLACK instead of connecting it at the ignition switch in order to bypass the built-in starter disable circuit on the alarm.
