SCOPE OF EMERGENCY NURSING

DEFINITION
Emergency (ER) nursing directs attention to human responses to any trauma or sudden illness that requires interventions ranging from minimal care to life support.

GOAL
The emergency nursing common goal is to restore physiological or psychological status to the severely ill patient or the severely injured victim.
