school. This computer is colored, good for children eyes. It parts are colored differently so that students can contrast each uses particularly in keyboard. It is best for students who are beginners and new to computers. It can be used in introducing and teaching particularly about the computer.

A functioning-model of a computer.

Which of the instructional materials caught your attention most? Why? The instructional materials that caught my attention most is their colored handouts. It is not the usual handouts that can be seen in tertiary levels particularly in reporting but it is unique in terms of purpose. It is intentionally colored because it is helpful not just to catch students attention but it gives more concrete learning. This colored handout is usually used in English subject, particularly in their Speech Lessons. The words have been colored for syllabic, pronunciation and enunciation purposes. Having this, students can directly identify the proper way of saying, and expressing the words.

Which instructional materials/gadgets are you confident to use/operate? The instructional materials/gadgets that I am comfortable to use are Visual Aids and Power Point Presentations. I am expose more in visual aids, its materials are always available can be made in different styles and decorations. It aids my creativity and thinking skills. On the other hand, I am confident with power point presentation because I have knowledge about its features. I know how to operate computers relating with power point. Since also it is 21st century oriented that is why I am comfortable with these.

Which instructional materials/gadgets do you feel the need to learn more about? I need to learn more about Diorama and Puppetry. I have low skills in terms of art since diorama requires art skills in painting 3Dimensional pictures for students. I must learn this to make in order to incorporate more styles in teaching and can be effective and efficient as well. Also I need to learn about puppetry because its another way of catching students attention and interest for the lesson. It is a unique way of presenting lesson also is severally used by teachers nowadays comparing to the foreign places wherein it is usual in their curriculum to use this kind of art skills in integrating lessons.

More insights and realizations for this episode For this episode, I was opened again to the reality of being a teacher. There were many teacher-issues I learned for this episode such as government must provide full support to education since public teachers are now struggling looking for budget in order to provide a 21 st century skilled teaching to their students. At some instances, they are using their salary to buy materials for teaching. Another realization is that, if possible every school public or private must have enough facilities to cater the learning needs of plenty students. For example instead of 1 computer laboratory with less than 10 computers why not double it so that many students could use it in times of need. It is because; instructional materials are very helpful in teaching. As seeing the situation today, many students proceed to the next level that cannot read or write. Integrating new instructional materials or gadgets may avoid this situation. Student will surely learn something out of these new materials, because reality speaking education is vastly changing. We just cannot simply stick to traditional way of teaching using chalk and green board in teaching, let us bring education to a 21st century environment so that students will be competitive enough. Lastly, for the teachers, we must bear in mind that we are the future of these students, and what we must do is to nurture them with best in us and provide their desire to learn.
