    Seismic load

    Seismic load shall be calculated by the following equation which specified in the Korean Building Code 2005, Sec. 14 Detail shall be as per the requirements of Korean Building Code 2005. V=AxIxCxSxW/R Where V = Seismic load A = Area factor (0.12) I = Important factor (1.2 ~ 1.5) C = Dynamic factor C = 1 / 1.2T, (1.5 at max.) T = Natural periodic time S = Soil factor 1.0 (out area) or 1.5 (reclaimed area) Subject to Article 14.2(5) of Korean Building Code C x S 1.75 R = Response factor 2.0 to 6.0 subject to Article 14.2(6) of Korean Building Code W = Weight Earthquake load (STC Spec.) : Seismic factor, K=0.16
