Knocking of anterior teeth due to a car accident involving my 47- year-old

Developmental defects are induced by poor nutrition of the mother,
genetics or any trauma received by the mother during pregnancy.

3. How can the occurrence of these defects be minimized?


The mothers should be well-equipped with the knowledge of taking care
of herself and the baby. She should be on a balanced diet and she has to have
regular visits to the doctor to ensure the state of the baby’s health.

Having the knowledge and a bird’s eye view of the incidence and
prevalence of a certain disease and its pathogenesis will enable us to pinpoint
the causative agent of the disease and develop measures to avoid acquiring it.
All diseases can possibly be prevented when there is enough and extensive
knowledge of how it can be acquired or transmitted.

2. What about the use of epidemiology as a guide to the management of patients in


whom disease has already developed?
The information that can be acquired regarding the epidemiology of
the disease will allow the medical team to assess what phase of the disease is the
patient in and what drugs should be given to the patient to be able to combat and
stop the disease from getting worse.
