Sir, Sub: - Non-settlement of the problem of wage reduction of the officials appointed on or after 01.01.2007 - Reg. We express our deep anguish over the non-settlement of the subject burning issue even after discussion at different level of Management time and again including in the National Council. To mitigate the hardship due to loss of pay we demanded for granting of five increments as was given to the incumbents of JAO and JTOs who were also appointed in those posts on or after 01.01.2007. This would have made an end to the discrimination on treatment of identical problems. To our surprise the Management is still remain non comitial. The BSNLEU apprehending such a situation of loss of pay for those appointed on or after 01.01.2007 during wage revision demanded a way out for avoiding wage reduction in future. The personal pay granted by the Management could not ease the problem. On the other hand the Management, by granting five increments to JTO and JAO in identical position shown an discriminatory attitude. The committee formed to recommend solution of this grievance is yet to yield any result. Hence, we request for an early decision from the Management settling the long pending grievance relating to wage reduction.
