Topic: The story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears Objective: Students are able to move the storytelling pieces appropriately as the teacher tells the story. Language Focus: Characters: Goldilocks, papa bear, mama bear, baby bear. Object: Bowl, chair, bed, house Learning Style: Activity TPR (Total Physical Response) Storytelling Procedures The teacher introduces the key vocabulary items prior to telling story by using pictures. The title of the story is Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The teacher tells the story as she manipulates the storytelling pieces. The teacher invites volunteers to hold different storytelling pieces. The teacher retells the story and the volunteers try to move the storytelling pieces appropriately as they are mentioned in the story. When children are more familiar with the story, the teacher provides them the copies of the storytelling pieces. They hold and move them as the teacher tells the story.
