Auctioneer's Note: Hardy Krgers pigeon career started at the age of 13 and he managed to win an important title only three years later: in 1992 he was already the youngest National German Champion at the age of 16. This was not a youth championship but a championship for all German fanciers, which means he had beaten the very best pigeon fanciers in his country. He was National Champion with 40 prizes and 7,789.29 points and he also took a 4th place at the National LongDistance Championships. Klaus Khntopp wrote an article about this remarkably young fancier in the pigeon magazine Die Brieftaube in December 1993: Hardy Krger is very talented and very serious about his sport; the fancier and his pigeons live in perfect harmony. The sum of the parts and the fact that he never makes a mistake has made him very successful. This means that this young fancier is actually better and stronger than many established names, who invest a lot of money and who have to agree at the end of the season that they have to start over again every year. It appears that nothing has changed compared to 20 years ago. Hardy Krger has continued to race at the highest level. Throughout the years he has had a very strong pigeon family and his impressive National results from Poitiers are a crowning achievement. Hardy Krger and his pigeons are set to have a massive impact in the UK within the next few years. His pigeons are helping to shape one-loft race results all around the world. He has been the best-kept secret in the UK until now and he is now set to become one of the biggest names in all Europe. Some of the UK's most prominent fanciers are queuing up to get his pigeons for the coming seasons and this sale will provide you with an ideal opportunity to obtain them from his very best. His brilliant results to a back-garden set-up are nothing short of amazing and the way his team has been selected over the last 20 years is solely on merit and results and not paper pedigrees. He was the youngest-ever German Champion at the tender age of 16 years and this year he made history when he became the first and only fancier in German pigeonracing history to win the first three positions in the German National race when three pigeons dropped together and were timed in three seconds to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd National from Poitiers (676km) against 5,426 pigeons from 404 fanciers. Hardy Krger and his father have created a superb middle-distance family of racing pigeons that will win from 60 through to 550 miles and they have been created by picking the best and strongest competitors in the hard, tough run of races known as the Konkurs. This Konkurs is a series of 14 consecutive races that starts at the short distance and carries on every week to the longer-distance races and it works quite easily. Whatever pigeons you enter in the first race are your Konkurs pigeons for the year. This series then runs for 14 weeks on the trot and the same pigeons have to compete every week. If they miss one race they are out. In addition to this they have to win a prize every week. If they fail to win a prize they are out. They will fly to 650km and no matter what the weather conditions, they have to go and score. Over the last 20 years Hardy has kept only the best pigeons in the whole of the Konkurs series and any that looked tired or failed to compete every week, he got rid of. Simple as that. What is left is a fantastic team of consistent racing pigeons that are all of a type and they will fly through brick walls. They are fantastic one-loft-race pigeons because of their unbelievable homing and racing ability. Not many pigeon fanciers are as successful in one-loft races as Alfons & Helmut. They are not as well known abroad as they are in Germany but that will all change with these Jewels of the Sky. It all started with the victory in the One Million Dollar Race in South Africa in 2007. The winning bird was Konstantin against 2,402 birds. In the same year they won the World Ace Race in America (with five flights). In 2007 they also came 22nd in the China Race Beijing". It was the second German pigeon against 2,200 birds. 2008 was another great year in Sun City with 60th and 101st. In the final race in 2011

they had three fast pigeons: Maxi the 13th, Konsi the 86th and Cetah the 197th. This certainly isn't the end of the story. Hardly anybody can produce such great results in one-loft races.
