Save thousands on you your next hire!

Use this training program to hire and train an eligible jobseeker* for an extremely cost effective solution to brining on new employees. You select appropriate candidates and train them your way to meet your needs. The training program covers a portion of the wages during the training period.

Locating qualified candidates these days is difficult. Have you ever found an applicant youd like to hire if only they had better skills for the job? If a potential individual has some of the required skills but needs additional training to be fully qualified, consider an OJT. This is a win/win situation for the business and the trainee. For a limited time, OJT/NEGs are being provided through the New York State Department of Labor to encourage businesses to provide On-the-Job Training to help put more people back to work, while at the same time assisting the business with hiring and training new workers. Through this grant, businesses hiring eligible job seekers could qualify for wage reimbursements for up to six (6) months. The portion of wages to be reimbursed is based on the total number of full-time employees before hiring the OJT/NEG trainees: 1-50 employees = up to 90% reimbursement 51-250 employees = up to 75% reimbursement More than 250 employees = 50% reimbursement *An eligible individual needs to be designated as a dislocated worker and been unemployed for a period of 20 weeks or more. We will identify appropriate candidates that meet your needs.
