ANALYSIS OF LEAD (Pb), CHROMIUM (Cr) AND CADMIUM (Cd) Cr IN LIPSTICS BY GRAPHITE FURNACE ATOMIC ABSORBTION SPECTROFOTOMETRI

ABSTRACT
Lipstick is a cosmetic for the lips that used almost everyday by the majority of adult women. The existence of heavy metal in lipstick was very dangerous it can caused many affects such as allergies, skin irritations. Based on these considerations, the research has been done analyzes of heavy metals such as lead (Pb), chromium (Cr) and cadmium (Cd) on lipstick to find out the heavy metal contamination. The results of the study showed that all samples contained metals Pb, Cr, and Cd. The heavy metal of Pb with code LG 1, LG 2, LG 3, LP 1, LP 2, LP3 is 2.44 ppm, 6.14 ppm, 0.59 ppm, 3.93 ppm, 2.15 ppm and 1.29 ppm. Then heavy metal of Cr in lipstick is 0.38 ppm, 0.46 ppm, 0.21 ppm, 2.20 ppm, 5.24 ppm and 3.83 ppm. Meanwhile, the heavy metal of Cd is 0.003 ppm, 0.003 ppm, 0.003 ppm, 0.029 ppm, 0.016 ppm and 0.020 ppm. All samples that have been tested did not qualify for the metal material is in cosmetics banned in accordance with Regulation of the National Agency of Drug and Food of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.03.1.23.08.11.07517 of 2011 on the technical requirements of cosmetics ingredients.
