Film director

What does the job involve?


Working with people all the time for example actors, make-up artist, camera operators, set
designers, technicians and script writers.

Knows what types of effects you need in a film.

Direction of the film is his responsibility


Tells the actor how to perform their scene and teaches or even shows them what to do. The Director has to plan each and everything clearly. A Director has to think about the cast, movie set, lights , sounds and all the further requirements for releasing the film.

He controls the editing of the film.

What Qualifications are required for the role?


Film directors do not need to have certain specific qualifications to become a
director, but they must be creative.

It helps if you can to get a Bachelor degree in film and fine arts and Masters
degree is even better.

What does the job involve?


Knowing how to make storyboards. Drawing 2D sketches, cartoons, artwork or illustrations. Using a range of materials such as modelling clay, plaster , oil paints ,
watercolours , acrylics and pencils.

Being good at interviewing people.

Planning and rehearsing shows.
