Intake system

Design: intake system Our system is composed by: air filter (not included in photo), throttle body with venturi, plenum, plenum base, intake manifolds, manifolds pipe, injectors mount and intake manifold attachment. For lack of money and time we use the pieces of last year with exception in the throttle body.

The air filter used in the intake system is a K&N RC-0890. Specifications: Height: 3 in (76 mm) Outside Diameter: 3 in (76 mm) Volume of air contained: 3,5 L

The Plenum has a volume of 4,5 L and is made of fiber carbon completely using two resin molds.

Plenum base and intake manifolds are also made in fiber carbon using similar molds.

Finally the manifolds pipe, injectors mount and intake manifold attachment are made in aluminum by machining. They are welded for hold together.

Why is the plenum made in carbon fiber? Because this material reduces the weight of the intake system. Why are the intake manifolds made in aluminum? Because its lightweight and easy to handle.
