I’m standing here alone staring at you

Hoping that this isn’t real, this isn’t true
I want to scream but it didn’t sound
Are these the shadows of what I’ve done?

I held you down with my own selfish drive

And forgotten your blameless breathless life
I broke your bones into pieces
I ripped your body and flesh

Those times, I just wouldn’t care

I was a burden, I was a nightmare
I swallowed down your soul, your fate
Like a ghoul that haunts every breath you take

Can you possibly be on my edge?

And fill my life with long time pledge
I want to hold you, to caress
But now, you lie in front of me
Cold and lifeless
