Seating arrangements. a) Think about the relationships between students when deciding where to place them. The result is a seating plan with good relationships together and bad relationships apart. b) Think about patterns of semi-circles, u- shapes, concentric circles or even straight lines. c) Consider class and room size. 2. Sight, sound and comfort. a) Classroom is neat, clean and orderly in appearance. b) Use bulletin boards wisely c) Free from external noises d) Cooling systems (air condition or fan) are operating CREATING A POSITIVE CLASSROOM CLIMATE 1. CLASSROOM RULES FOR CONDUCT Formalized statements that provide students with general guidelines for the types of behaviors that are required and the types that are prohibited. WITHITNESS a) Refers to teachers awareness of what going on in the classroom. b) When discipline problem occur, teachers should consistently takes action to suppress the misbehavior of exactly those students who instigate the problem.
