Instructional Directions:

2. Facilitate a whole class discussion about the book and weather in general. Talk about the weather outside today and show the students pictures of different types of weather over the ELMO using Google images. https://www.google.com/search?q=pics+of+weather&espv=210&es_s m=119&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=kJZ1UoCOGqmF iAK4qoGYBA&ved=0CC4QsAQ&biw=1109&bih=503 3. Then pass out the following worksheet for the students to fill in the missing letters.

Lead a whole class discussion about the clip and how weather is predicted in a 7 day forecast. 6. Have the students then put a 7 day forecast together on the following worksheet that includes pictures.

Make sure to have an example over the ELMO so the students have a visual as well as numbers to incorporate for the temperatures. 7. In closing, have the students predict tomorrows weather and vote. Do this by asking each child what they think tomorrows weather will be (sunny, rainy, etc.) and have a chart on the whiteboard to put tally marks. The weather with the most tally marks will be the prediction. Tomorrow go over the weather with screen share from the weather channel app to see if the students were right in their prediction.
