Number of Integrated Studies Blocks for next year: There is one Humanities and three Science/Math teachers interested in being part of IS next year so we will run one pair of teachers with two blocks each. If interest is expressed from another teacher at a later date (after hiring) there is still the possibility that well run a second pair of teachers. 2. Staff Feedback: We agreed to share the feedback from staff recorded at the last meeting with staff in the form that Stefan circulated it. Stefan will also summarize this at the next staff meeting. 3. Extra IS Block: We agreed that the LST person associated with IS will get the extra block that ILD is buying for the pilot year. This allows for maximum flexibility and will allow this teacher to be truly part of the IS team. 4. Working with the Ministry: Were hoping to meet with a team from the Ministry on April 18th. The plan is to have the whole ILD team be there for lunch and then for a team of Nicole, Tammie, LST person, Stefan and the Science/ Math person to be there for the rest of the day. Our goals for the session are: a. To get support from the Ministry for planning pilot curriculum and integrating the core competencies ideally for paid work in the summer. b. To get pilot curriculum to work with c. To find out what the Ministry expects from us (strings?) 5. Calgary Science School: Because there are STA Consolidation funds available we agreed to send up to 10 people to the Calgary Science School conference within our previously set budget of $4500. IS team members including the LST person will go for sure. We will invite SESM teacher to come. Depending on how many take us up on that offer, other ILD members may decide to go. 6. Next meeting s April 18th at lunch with Ministry (very tentative Stefan will let us know) April 22nd at 3 in C-109
