Grammar

How do you know when to use "has" or "had" and "have"? "has" is third person singular (he, she, it) form for the verb "have". "had" is past tense for "has". The general rule to remeber about using these two is "order of tenses". The simple perfect (has) is used for someting that happened in the past. The past perfect (had) is used when there is another action that took place in the past but at some time more recent. He has parked the car. He had parked the car before the rain started.
