CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION AND OBJETIVES 1.

1 Introduction
Lean philosophy is renowned for focus on reduction of the original Toyota seven wastes in order to improve overall customer value, but there are varying perspectives on how this is best achieved. The steady growth of Toyota, from a small company to the world's largest automaker, has focused attention on how it has achieved this. In other words, Lean Manufacturing can be used: To significantly improve overall productivity. To increase market share. To improve speed to market with new products. To reduce manufacturing and engineering labor costs. To eliminate non value added operations and processes. Therefore, it is obtained more benefits with the same or less time, money and space. Lean Manufacturing is a philosophy with well known and tested results that everyday is more common and used around the world.

1.2 Objecti e!
Lean implementation is focused on getting the right things, to the right place, at the right time, in the right !uantity to achieve perfect work flow while minimi"ing waste and being fle#ible and able to change. Lean aims to make the work simple enough to understand, to do and to manage. The ob$ective of this Thesis is to carry out a study, proposal, achievement and analysis of improvements about Manufacturing in %lastic in$ection molding, &asting and 'rass products machining . (etting these improvements) it is obtained some benefits, adding more production and easiness work and also an improvement in terms of !uality. Those companies are * kala plastics, manufacturing all types of plastic products, another is +eal casting, manufacturer of various fine casted products and ,hrey enterprise, manufacturer
