~ SARAH ANTHONY ~ OFFERING SENSATIONAL SALON & BARBER SERVICES
Woodruff Manor is recognizing Sarah Anthony for the outstanding salon services she provides to the residents here at Woodruff Manor. Sarah is an honor graduate of Woodruff High School. Always having a passion for hair, she continued her education after high school at Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in Spartanburg. Additionally, she enhanced her skills by attending school for wedding and event planning. Her special interest is hair from eras gone bythe 1920s through the 1970s. Sarahs 5 years of experience includes working at Trade Secret, Salon 111 in Woodruff, and Nevaeh Salon in Woodruff. Woodruff Manor is fortunate to now have her as our own licensed cosmetologist to make our residents look and feel their very best. What Sarah likes most is giving the residents confidence and making them feel good about themselves because when you look good, you feel good. Cosmetology services at Woodruff Manor are a complimentary amenity to all residents. Those services include haircuts, waxing, hair color, perms, facials by request, and cosmetic services. Upcoming special activity event showcasing Sarahs work A Hair Show entitled Hair Fashions Through the Decades Thursday, August 29th at 2:00 p.m.

FACTS TO KNOW ABOUT SCHOOL BULLYING


Bullying is a widespread problem in our schools. With the new school year looming right around the corner, it is important to be armed with some important facts to protect our precious children.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year. 1 in 4 teachers see nothing wrong with bullying and will only intervene 4% of the time. Approximately 160,000 teens skip school every day because of bullying. 1 in 7 students in grades K-12 is either a bully or a victim of bullying. 56% of students have personally witnessed some type of bullying at school. Over two-thirds of students believe that schools respond poorly to bullying, with a high percentage of students believing that adult help is infrequent and ineffective. 7. 8. 9. 71% of students report incidents of bullying as a problem at their schools. 90% of 4th-8th graders report being victims of bullying. 1 out of 10 students drop out of school because of repeated bullying.

10. Harassment and bullying have been linked to 75% of school-shooting incidents. 11. Physical bullying increases in elementary school, peaks in middle school, and declines in high school. Verbal abuse, however, remains constant.
