Installation Instructions

Obtain a Mounting Bracket Kit (1U or 0U) to rack mount your 1U Rackmount LED Console. Before installing the
Rackmount LED Console and other components in the rack, stabilize the rack in a permanent location. Start rack
mounting your equipment at the bottom of the rack, then work to the top. Avoid uneven loading or overloading of
racks.
CAUTION: Before installing systems in a rack, install front and side stabilizers on stand-alone racks or the
front stabilizer on racks joined to other racks. Failure to install stabilizers accordingly before installing systems
in a rack could cause the rack to tip over, potentially resulting in bodily injury under certain circumstances.
Therefore, always install the stabilizer(s) before installing components in the rack.
NOTE: Do not mount this product with the rear panel facing in the downward position towards the floor.

Installing Tooled Rails

Remove the screw from the front mounting bracket using a torx-head screwdriver, then remove the pins from the front and
rear mounting brackets using a flat-tipped screwdriver (1). Pull and rotate the rail latch subassemblies to remove them
from the mounting brackets (2). Attach the left and right mounting rails to the front vertical rack flanges using two pairs of
screws (3). Slide the left and right back brackets forward against the rear vertical rack flanges and attach them using two
pairs of screws (4).

NOTE: Ensure that the system is properly supported until the chassis rail members are inserted into the slide rails
on both sides. Pull the sliding rails out of the rack until they are fully extended. Align and insert the ends of the
chassis rail members into the ends of the rails. Push the system inward until the chassis rail members are fully
inserted. Pull and push the console tray in and out of the rack until it slides smoothly within the rack.

Position the left and right rail end pieces labeled FRONT facing inward and orient each end piece to seat in the holes on
the front side of the vertical rack flanges. Align each end piece in the bottom and top holes of the desired U spaces until
the latch clicks into place (1). Engage the back end of the rail until it fully seats on the vertical rack flange and the latch
clicks into place (2).

Attaching the Cable Management Arm (CMA)

From the back of the rack, cut the zip tie that secures the CMA to the back of the console tray. Swing the free end
of the CMA out to the bracket on the end of the left stationary rail and attach the arm to the bracket with the captive
screw on the end of the arm.

WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment:

To Thread the Cables to the Back of the Rack

Gently thread the cables through the cable channel on the CMA, then secure the cables to the slide rail, ensuring they
aren't pulled too tight (1).

Do not disable the power grounding plug. The grounding plug is an

important safety feature.

Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) outlet that is easily
accessible at all times.

RACK MOUNT SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:

CMA (1)

If mounting this product in an equipment rack, the following considerations

shall apply for safe installation and use of this product:

Elevated Ambient Temperature: If installed in a closed rack assembly,

the operation temperature of the rack environment may be greater
than room ambient. Use care not to exceed the rated maximum
operating temperature for this product.
Reduced Air Flow: Installation of the equipment in a rack should be
such that the amount of air flow required for safe operation of the
equipment is not compromised.
Mechanical Loading: Mounting of the equipment in the rack should
be such that a hazardous condition is not achieved due to uneven
mechanical loading.
Circuit Overloading: Consideration should be given to the connection
of the equipment to the supply circuit and the effect that overloading
of circuits might have on overcurrent protection and supply wiring.
Consider equipment nameplate ratings for maximum current.
Reliable Earthing: Reliable earthing of rack mounted equipment
should be maintained. Pay particular attention to supply connections
other than direct connections to the branch circuit (for example, use
of power sgtrips).
