Madame:

I would like to file a complaint regarding an establishment, Ludo Lodging House, which is adjacent to my house located in 49C Panganiban St., Cebu City. Due to the recent magnitude 7.2 earthquake and the subsequent aftershocks, the firewall of the said establishment crumbled, causing some hollow blocks to fall and cause damage to my house. Other pieces fell onto the right-of-way, causing some form of obstruction to the people passing by. But whats a bigger cause for concern is public safety; some hollow blocks are dangling and may fall with another aftershock of considerable strength, which may harm passersby. Apparently, the owner of this establishment has no plans on repairing this firewall. Thus, I would like to appeal to the DEPW to intervene and eliminate this threat to public safety.
