Digipak Analysis- Tinie Tempah Disc-overy

In many of Tinie Tempahs album artwork it never shows his eyes this is an enigma code because it makes the audience wonder why he is not letting us see his eyes The Semantic code refers to the text and the different meanings within the text and in this album artwork the text is all in capitals which connotes straight forward to the point, and the triangle that represents the A could be something that he does to all his albums to make them all identifiable. There arent many Proairetic codes in this because the image is one that stands still so there isnt much action going on in terms of movement.

There are three main colours on this album artwork, black, blue and pink with the writing in white so that it stands out better and the artists name is in a larger font then the album name making it stand out well enough for people to recognise the name. The symbolic code refers to the city in his arms which resembles New York due to the Chrysler building in the centre thus could be representing either his heritage or his songs.

There is one colour theme that runs through the Digipak the bright colours and white text that even appears on the CD Cover this text is the artists identity it is synonymous with the artist and what impression he wants to give away. This same text is used on the songs that adorn the back of the CD. The uses and gratifications theory suggests that all of these are related to the artist and this is how people recognise him and this will then persuade them to make the purchase of the CD because they know him and his music.
