An Unrealized Concept

For many years I presumed a special ability I thought I had, an unique thing among others: understanding and communicating in English; at least I thought I was doing that. I considered myself bilingual; I did not made myself the question what is a bilingual person?. My ego was way too high for not tolerating the idea of ignoring most features of English.

It is understood that a bilingual person is someone who speaks in a competent level his or her two learnt languages; a concept I understood just a few days ago. But not everything is bad news, now with that concept in mind I am aimed to acquire the bilingual range in order to get its beneficial consequences (cognitive and general skills improved, as well mental health).

Another objective is acquired as a future teacher: To foster students to acquire that level.
