Classroom Management/Discipline Plan

This classroom management and discipline plan strives to establish a classroom that will be a safe and welcoming learning environment, which will encourage respect for all students. All students will be involved in their educational process to allow effective learning, academic and personal growth to prosper.
Classroom Rules 1. Arrive on time to class This rule is e!tremel" important because for ever" minute a student is late is a minute the" miss important information. Also, students wal#ing in late create a distraction for those alread" at their des# read" to learn. $. Come prepared with all necessary materials %tudents should come prepared with paper and pencils. &f students are not able to purchase their own materials, teacher will provide the materials. '. Follow direction the first time you are told %tudents should follow directions the first time the" are given. Teacher should not have to repeat herself nor have to deal with disobedient behavior. (. Respect your teacher, peers, and classroom property )espect is needed to create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that is conducive to all students learning e!perience. Disrespect and bull"ing will not be tolerated. *. Complete all classwork and homework All wor# is to be completed to assess students understanding of the material and to configure grades. +. ask permission to leave your seat This prohibits students from getting out of their seat to wal# around the class distracting others and from loo#ing for a wa" to get out of doing their wor#. The" can choose to pla" board games, or pla" an outside activit" for the last 1* minutes of the da". &f the class receives *1 tall" mar#s b" the end of the month, the" will be thrown a donut or ice cream part" in recognition of their hard wor#.

Classroom Routines (Arrival, bat room, dismissal! Arrival 1. %tudents will have * minutes to ta#e their seat and get out their materials. As students wal# in, teacher will ta#e attendance. 2. 5nce students are seated with their materials out, the" will ta#e out their homewor# and place it on top of their des#. 3. Teacher will have a dail" warm3up written on the board that students will wor# on for the first $1 minutes of class. 4. 6hile students wor# on the dail" warm3up, teacher will collect homewor# from students. 5. Those students who did not do their homewor# will write their name on the board and will complete homewor# doing their recess. ". After homewor# has been collected, the teacher and the students will go over the dail" warm3up together. 7athroom 1. 8ver" student will begin the wee# with two bathroom passes. 2. &f student needs to use the bathroom, the" will raise their hand and as# for permission. 3. 5nce student is given permission, teacher will record the pass b" placing a tall" mar# b" the students name on her bathroom pass boo#let. 4. %tudent has ' to * minutes to use the bathroom or else the student will receive a warning. 5. After the student returns from the bathroom, he or she will ta#e their seat and continue with the given tas# or pa" attention to the lecture. Dismissal 1. 11 minutes before dismissal time, students will clean their wor#ing area. %tudents will clear their des# and floor area of an" trash. %tudents will then be given a 9"sol disinfecting wipe to clean des# with. 2. After students are done cleaning their wor#ing area, students will return all classroom materials that were borrowed during class time such as, pencils, erasers, rulers, ect. 3. 5nce students have returned all classroom materials, the" are to pac# personal belongings and their own school materials in their bac#pac#. 4. 6hen students have finished pac#ing their personal belongings, the" will ta#e a seat ,uietl" at their des#. 6e will then go over what we did in class to serve as a ,uic#

Then the" are free to go. #trategies $or %arent involvement %tudent3Parent Contract This contract will inform parents and students of the classroom rules and procedures. &t will clearl" e!press what is e!pected from the student in order to have a positive learning e!perience in m" classroom. The parent or guardian as well as the student need to sign the contract confirming the" are in agreement with the contract content. This contract will serve as a liaison between the teacher and parent. Monthl" news letter 8ver" month the teacher will produce a monthl" newsletter for the parents. This letter will include important information such as upcoming events, important test dates, student of the month, and the current curriculum being taught to their child. &aterials %tudents are onl" e!pected to come to class prepared with a pencil and paper. All other necessar" material are going to be provided b" the teacher. Des#s will be grouped in fours and a buc#et filled with supplies will be placed in the middle. %upplies will include fours sharpeners, four e!tra pencils, four erasers, four rulers, a set of mar#ers, a set of colored pencils, and four scissors. 5ne of the classroom rules is to respect classroom propert". &f the given materials are misused or destro"ed, materials will not be replaced and students will be told the" will need to bring their own supplies.
