My Opinion of Writing At the beginning of the semester, I hated writing because it stressed me out and I never had an interest

in writing. Before college, I would have to write papers on books that we were assigned to read. I hated that because the books were never interesting and I could never think of a topic to write about. My teachers also never helped me, so that made me hate writing even more. Now in college, I never would have thought that I would enjoy writing. Writing use to give me anxiety, but throughout this semester I have not had a lot of anxiety. There are two assignments that changed my opinion towards writing are my Literacy Memoir and my Discourse Community Ethnography. My Literacy Memoir changed my opinion because it helped me look back on why I started to hate writing and gave me a new perspective on writing. My Discourse Community Ethnography changed my opinion because that paper was easy because I am part of the discourse community, but writing in third person was hard. Also, the help from the Writing Center has changed me opinion towards writing because now I know I have someone there to help me when I need it. I believe by the time I am graduating, I will have no problem with writing.
