Abstract

ARRANGEMENT Saline Water (water containing Sodium Chloride) of a given TDS is taken in a shallow large vessel. Another small vessel in which the final pure water would likely be obtained is placed inside the former. The arrangement is heated using electric heating equipment and this is carried out at a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure i.e. the outer vessel is closed with a plastic arrangement which is protruded vertically downwards, with the help of weight placed from the top

WORKING When the heating equipment is turned on, pure water is evaporated from the outer vessel leaving the salts behind. These vapours condense when they come in contact with the plastic arrangement. The condensed water on the surface gets collected in the inner vessel due to characteristic property of the solvent namely, surface tension and also due to gravity. This Final collected water in the inner vessel is the pure water.

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM I apologise it could not be made, due to time factor and some other reasons.
