Lesson Objective(s) Assessment(s) of the Objective(s) Students put the sequence cards in the correct order from 1-4. I will have each student show me what they believe is the correct order and write it on an assessment sheet. Students will answer questions about key details in the story and I will observe whether the students know what they are talking about and how they answer the questions. When students are finished creating their life cycle of a pumpkin, I will collect their life cycles to look over. Use of Formative Assessment I will use the assessment data for future instruction on pumpkins. I will go into further detail on the different type of pumpkins there are, the different sizes of pumpkins and the different uses of pumpkins.

Pre-Assessment: When given sequence cards, students will be able to identify the correct order of a pumpkins life cycle.

During Assessment: When finished reading From Seed to Pumpkin by Wendy Pfeffer, the students will be able to answer questions about key details in the story. The students will be able to create the life cycle of a pumpkin using cutouts.

Accommodations: Early finishers will be allowed to go to their assigned centers. Slower paced learners will be given extra time during their center time with teacher assistance if needed.

They will also be given pre-cut cutouts that they will glue in order onto a piece of green construction paper. c. The piece of green construction paper will then be glued onto their pumpkin in order for students to see the life cycle of the pumpkin. 7.
