Creating a Video in Corel Video Studio Pro x2

1. Open up Corel VideoStudio Pro x2 opt for Video Studio Editor a. Save As -- -Name project b. Testandtoss.VSP - (VideoStudioProject) i. (Identify location before you hit save) 2. Look at top tab tool bar and switch from 2 Edit to 1 Capture 3. Select one of the four options: a. Capture Video (from camcorder via Firewire or USB) b. Capture DV Quick Scan c. Import DVD or DVD-VR (Mini Discs) d. Import from Mobile Device (eg Flip Camera) 4. Import Digital Media a. Import from Folder (on burned DVD in DVD drive) i. It will Parse or dissect the video. b. Once Done (Put a check mark in the box of the portion you wish to capture.) i. If you do not check mark it box it will not be available to edit. ii. Generally you will check mark all of them. c. Locate your newly created video in the Bin i. Uvs.00000 ie 5. From camcorder Capture Video a. Connect camcorder to computer via Firewire

11. Switch to 3 Share tab on Tool bar for output choices a. Save As . . . via File (always do this first) b. Create Video File for destination: i. Granicus WMV Broadband (320x240, 30 fps) low quality c. Create Disc (DVD) high quality d. Introduction & Training 1. Need to send email to Craig Burlingame requesting setting up account. a. burlingameC@bsd405.org 2. Once your account is set up you will need to learn how to access and log in.

Step 1: Prepare your video for uploading to Granicus. You could be using Windows Movie Maker (PC), VideoStudio (Available for installation on all district computers, this is PC plat form. Or could be using any PC editing software you may personal own. Step 2 Once you have built your project you need to (Export or Share) in the following format: a. WMV (320 x 240) ie: FirstMovie.wmv i. When you are naming your project is important to: a. NOT USE SPACES OR /-?&

Step 3 Steps for Uploading to Granicus for PUBLIC VIEWING 1. Make sure it is a (WMV file). 2. Launch Internet Explore. 3. You will need to go to Granicus Media Manager a. http://bsd405.grancius.com 4. Username 5. Password 6. Add the Granicus to your favorites 7. Look at Blue Tabs

a. Click on Archives b. New Video i. Browse --- To upload ii. Get your wmv file c. Status (Default) from pending: Public d. Folder (External View by Public) 8. Scroll Down and hit SAVE PROPERTIES a. In RED RECORD SAVED
