2013
To
Whom
It
May
Concern:
It
is
a
pleasure
for
me
to
introduce
to
you
Mr.
Brady
Koch.
I
have
had
the
privilege
to
work
with
Brady
during
the
2011-2012
academic
year
at
POLY
English
Language
Academy
in
Seoul,
South
Korea.
His
year
long
experience
offered
him
invaluable
opportunities
to
not
only
to
apply
a
myriad
of
instructional
styles,
but
also
allowed
him
to
develop
his
own
teaching
methods
that
were
highly
effective
in
the
classroom.
Brady
has
demonstrated
many
traits
and
attributes
that
will
serve
him
well
in
his
teaching
career.
Flexibility
comes
naturally
to
this
young
teacher.
This
is
especially
important
when
teaching
a
second
language.
He
is
always
willing
to
follow
an
unexpected
line
of
thought
or
questioning
in
an
effort
to
foster
student
learning
and
engagement.
Additionally,
he
is
very
well
adapted
to
rolling
with
the
punches
of
the
everyday
classroom
and
all
the
disruptions
and
unplanned
occurrences
that
take
place.
Another
of
Bradys
assets,
and
perhaps
his
strongest,
is
his
punctuality
both
in
and
out
of
the
classroom.
During
our
time
as
colleagues,
it
became
evident
rather
quickly
that
Brady
was
a
master
in
the
subject
of
debate.
With
debate
experience
on
his
own
rsum,
for
him
to
teach
this
subject
was
a
natural
fit.
His
debate
teams,
as
well
as
his
public
speaking
teams,
excelled
greatly
in
both
regional
and
national
competitions
held
throughout
the
academic
year.
In
order
to
create
this
trust
between
student
and
teacher,
Brady
was
able
to
build
a
wonderful
rapport
with
his
students.
He
easily
and
naturally
reaches
out
to
students
to
help
them
engage
in
the
educational
process.
He
has
a
technique
of
drawing
his
students
out
through
subtle,
non-threatening
questioning.
As
he
gets
the
students
to
talk
about
themselves,
he
is
able
to
pull
valuable
information
about
their
likes,
dislikes,
and
values.
He
then
uses
this
information
to
draw
the
students
into
his
lessons.
This
is
a
wonderful
element
to
obtain
especially
at
such
an
early
stage
in
his
pedagogical
career.
Not
only
did
this
establish
trust
between
student
and
teacher,
these
methods
instilled
confidence
in
his
students
as
well.
Instilling
confidence
in
students
is
essential;
especially
when
working
with
second
language
learners.
Brady
was
able
to
do
this
with
great
ease.
In
closing,
it
is
my
privilege
to
recommend
Mr.
Brady
Koch.
He
will
make
an
outstanding
addition
to
any
educational
cohort.
His
talents,
his
abilities,
and
skill
sets
will
complement
and
serve
his
future
students
as
well
as
his
future
colleagues.
I
highly
recommend
Brady
Koch
to
be
a
part
of
your
program.
Please
give
every
consideration
to
this
candidate.
Sincerely,
