Professional Development and Improvement Implementation of professional development will be monitored for implementation and improvement of student achievement. New teachers will be supported by mentor teachers. Administration will provide more observation and review of faculty with structured plans for improvement from those not performing to expectations.

Student Support A clear, consistent school-wide Positive Behavior Plan will be created and implemented. There will be a clear focus on EL students. All departments will persistently try to accommodate these students with services in order to improve student achievement. Services will include tutoring during advisory or projects periods, scaffolding strategies, more student voice and opportunities to think before they are asked to speak.

How Will Civitas Move Forward?


The bright spot for Civitas is that everyone sees the severity of our situation in that part of our report stated that unless we show significant improvement in 2012-2013 (March 2013) that we are in danger of shutting down.

elements of the Standard Base Classroom Observation Protocol for Educators (SCOPE) as documented in their record of classroom observation and corresponding student performance.
Core Activities Timelines 1. Compare and Contrast SCOPE to the Teacher and September 14, 2012 Learning Framework Measurement Contrast the specific measurement of SCOPE over and against TLF Documented Individual conference with each teacher. PD where each teacher does an observation and calibrates use. Four observations and feedback to teachers each week.
