Abstract This research is for information about the violence that women are suffering these days in Puerto

Rico. There are interviews about what some persons though about this theme and the opinions they gave about it. The work also presents some graphics about the statistics of crimes of violence against woman in Puerto Rico; the graphics are very recent because we wanted to show the reality of how much is happening. In the interview with both of the participant, I could e tract very useful information for our research. !hat we found at the end of our research is that the women know they are being abused, but they accept it because of what the men can give them in e change. The opinion about the interviewees about men was that they where abusive because that how they could gain control over their wives, and that the fault was in the education that their family gave to the men.

"n la entrevista con ambas de las participantes, se pudo e traer informaci#n de gran utilidad para nuestra investigaci#n. *o $ue encontramos al final de nuestra investigaci#n es $ue las mu%eres saben $ue est)n siendo abusadas, pero lo aceptan por lo $ue los hombres les pueden dar a cambio. *a opini#n de los entrevistados acerca de los hombres fue $ue ellos eran abusivos por$ue as& era como ellos pod&an ganar control sobre sus esposas, y $ue la culpa estaba en la educaci#n $ue sus familias le dieron.

This means that it4s wrong to do to other men what men do to women, use them as inanimate and cheap toys %ust for pleasure. !omen have life, emotions, and feelings, %ust like men4s, but the man look down on all woman. !omen are ob%ect of violence every day, and it will not stop unless someone start to defend them. They are few things that impulse a man to commit aggression against woman, one of them is the economy. !hen the economy is bad, it4s easy to get frustrated, and that frustration is what do that men abuse physically, mentally and verbally against woman. If we do not know what causes abuse, we cannot hope to cure it. In my research and interview I found that the economy really affects how one can behave. I found this information by how my participants answered the $uestions. 5oth did it with full knowledge of they were talking, and neither of the two seemed with doubt about what I where asking. 6irst I prepared a seat for both of us, and then I gave them the papers to sign all the authori7ation letter necessary. !hen they finished signing, I commenced asking my first participant the $uestions while looking how they answered. Through the whole interview, my participant did not falter at any of the five $uestions, on the contrary, she seemed $uite amused and serious about my selection of $uestions. All of her answers where on par with my e pectations. I did the same process with my second participant, the only difference is that my second participant answered the $uestions with a serious tone; she took the interview %ust like if it were a %ob interview. At the end of both interview I offered them a drink, so we could rela . The most choking answer was from my first participant to my third $uestion, she told me in short words +8en is raised very differently from women, and that is a cause for the violence.. That was choking because she is a very religious person and I thought that her answer to that $uestion would be $uite the contrary. In conclusion, I e pected many of the answers that both participants told me, only few surprised me. I have to say that both women took my interview very professionally even though they where my relatives, only few relatives would do something like that. 8y most important finding is that many women that are victims of violence is because men get frustrated because they are impotent to show power economically or physically so they let their anger out on their loved ones by damaging them physically, mentally or emotionally. 8y thinking about this research is that both, woman and men, should talk to their loved ones about how they feel, so in that way they get to lower their stress at some e tent so they should not resort to violence.
