Environmental Charities and Future plans

The ERS School Tree Nurseries Programme and the School Flutter Flower Programme are providing a service to both the community and the environment by helping children in schools to learn about the environment and to plant trees and create wildflower meadows in order to restore their local degraded habitats.

At school some ideas are: We can use budget to buy iPads and technology to write Technology resources in our school: Computer rooms: E4, R1 . S1, S1, S2, S3, M1A, Language lab (OS block), Library -Uses a lot of electricity -saves trees Use money to buy solar panels -expensive -environmentally friendly -could spend money on other things

In our school we have a mix between books and technology Although we still buy books, we now are mostly upgrading technology around school We have upgraded internet to make technology faster and easier to use Interactive learning environment - FROG

Because of our computer resources, sometimes we have our lessons in computer rooms. Most of the time, its to use the internet for research. Because of this, we print off a fair bit of work. Theres a computer program installed on the network to monitor this. It monitors our printer usage since we joined the school.

Resources we get given at the beginning of each year:

Exercise book in each subject Planner for homework, timetable and helpful pages in the back i.e. the Periodic Table A few textbooks A copy of our timetable A new, small calendar each term For each subject we have exercise books to write all our notes, classwork and homework in. For most subjects, we dont have our own textbooks because theyre handed out when we need them. There are a few subjects where we have our own textbooks for the year, such as Latin and Maths.
