Competency H Integration of Technology and Media Resources for Instruction, Classroom Organization, and Student Learning During both

of my student teaching placements, I utilized technology for whole group instruction, small group instruction, and differing workstations. I familiarized myself with the promethean board, smart board, and smart table. The interactive, electronic, whiteboard is great for modeling and demonstrating skills for all academic levels. Using these tools accommodates students different learning styles. Visual and kinesthetic learners benefit from the graphics and interactive software. During my placements in 1st grade and 4th grade, I noticed an increase in student engagement and excitement when these tools were in use. Integrating these forms of technology gave me instant access to an abundance of electronic resources. I frequently used smart exchange.com and promethean planet in order to find resources and customize them in order to meet the needs of my students. Technology integration allowed my students to construct their own learning and extend their thinking.
