SCIENCE LESSON1 10-14-2013

Compare weather changes of Fall/ Pre- Assessment Autumn from other During Assessment seasons by using Post- Assessments their senses to observe Fall/Autumn leaves.

Format of Assessments Pre- Assessment: A checklist will be used to record students knowledge of the weather changes of Fall/Autumn, focusing on Fall/ Autumn leaves. (Formative) During Assessment: Student participation and focus on activity, and teacher observation. Anecdotal records use.(Formative) Post- Assessment: Full completion of activity and Q & A will be used when describing their leaf. (Summative) During Assessment: Student participation during lesson and the activity will be observed. Anecdotal records will be used. (Formative) Post- Assessment: Completion of activity, with correct information. (Summative) Pre- Assessment: Pictures of each shape will be shown for student to identify the name of the shape and the attributes of the shape, checklist is used to record student response (Formative) During Assessment:

Accommodations

When pre-assessing students, wording the essential question for better understanding will be made. Modeling how to do leaf rubbing will be demonstrated various times, assistance will be given if needed.

SCIENCE LESSON2 10-15-2013 Compare weather changes of Fall/ autumn from other seasons by identifying various components of Fall/ Autumn and comparing those components to components of other seasons.

During Assessment Post- Assessment

Repeated and modified instruction in regards to the activity, explanations of pictures will be made if student is not understanding where the picture is to go.

MATH LESSON 3 10-16-2013 Identify three dimensional shapes by name (a cube, a cone, a cylinder, and a sphere) and describe attributes of Pre- assessment those shapes (cube, a During Assessment cone, a cylinder, and Post- Assessment a sphere).

Demonstrate coloring, cutting, and gluing the different shapes correctly. Reminders of some real life objects that are three dimensional shapes will be given to student having trouble naming the shape.

Engage in whole group discussions about what a National Holidays. Participate in activities that show and explain the two National Holidays Americans celebrate during Fall/ Autumn

Demonstrate expectations of drawings will be modeled prior and during activity. Components of Veterans Day and Thanksgiving will be reminded to students while engaging in activity.

Assistance will be given to students who are having trouble producing frequency words by allowing the student to use a pipe phone to listen to the sounds they are making to produce the frequency words.
