Reflection Lesson 1
In the second week of the teaching practice, specific on Tuesday I stared taught the first ICT lesson for grade 4. I began the lesson by divided the students label names for the students, and I explain how they can used it during the lesson. For example, if they want to answer question or need help they have to raise their name. And then, I explain more my classroom rules to help me to manage and control the classroom. According to Kyriacou, teachers can stop misbehavior before it happen, by give the students the rule of the classroom, explain it clearly for them to follow it, and show students the suitable behavior that they have to use during the classroom(Kyriacou, 2007,PP.90-91). The objectives of the lesson were to develop students skills in the Microsoft Word and be able to numbering pages, coloring the pages and add watermark. I engaged students by missing word activity; it was individual activity, which it helps students to know which program that they will work with. After that, students work in their group and paly puzzle to discover the topic of the lesson. Each group has different picture and word that they have to find from the puzzle. Both of activities made students active and practice in class. I started the explanation by presented pictures of the tools that students would learn such as watermark and page color, and from which icon they will find it. Next, I asked students to open the Microsoft Word and insert pictures and wrote different sentence about UAE to avoid noise and misbehavior, while I explain the lesson for the first group. Because the projectors didnt work, so I have to explain in order to each group. Additionally, I asked the group that I explained for them to work in pairs and practice what they learnt, to avoid misunderstanding and exchange the different opinions. Later, I gave the students the worksheet that includes the steps of the explanation and small quiz to evaluate their understanding and I marking it. Finally, I finished the lesson by reflect what students learn from the lesson through asking them different questions. After the class, I discussed with the MST and she gave me the feedback to help me to improve on the next class. The positive things that I did in the class that I used appropriate worming up. Moreover, I used good collaborative work that helps students to develop their cooperation skills. Finally, I have assessing students practically. On the other hand, I have to improve some point. First, I have to reinforcing students and give them praise or gift. Second, students should know the time for each activity. Finally, I have to concluding the lesson by ask students questions. In this lesson, I learned how it was important for students to share their answer and work between other, which helps them increase their understanding.
