1. Explain and justify the need for a solution for a specified client/end user.
IwilldoacommercialaboutDominick.Targetgroupiseveryonein10thgradebecausethey needtoknowhowmuchDominickdoesforISDandhowmuchhecontributestothe environmentatISD.Hemakeseveryonehappy.Iammakingacommercialwhereitshows theseveralthingshedoes,andhowhesbringinghappinesstotheISDcommunity.

2. Identify and prioritise the research needed to develop a solution to the problem.
1. Iwillneedtogothroughseveraladvertisementstogetsomeinspiration.Ialreadyknow whatthebasewillbelike,butIwillfindextrastoaddtothecommercial,soitwillbeeven better. 2. Iwillalsoresearchandlearnhowtouseseveralsoftwares,suchasAfterEffectsand Photoshop,becauseImighthavetoeditsomethingin/out,orjustfixanimageor something.Imightalsowanttoaddsomeeffectstothevideo,tomakeitmoreeye appealingorinteresting. 3. Iwillhavetoresearchondifferentvideosoftwares,soIknowwhichonewillbethebest formetomakemycommercial. 4. IwillalsohavetothinkonhowexactlyIwillfilmmycommercial.Ialreadyknowthebase ofwhatIwanttodo,butforalotofthemitmightbebettertofilmatlunchwheretheres morepeopleinthebackground,tomakeitlookalotmorerealistic. 5. Afterresearchingthese,Iwillbeabletomakeabettercommercialbecauseifthereare anyerrors,Imightbeabletoeditthem,andIwillbeabletomakeabiggerimpacton peopleifIcanperfectmycommercialtobeinteresting,funnyandinformativeatthe

sametime,whichiswhatImaimingfor.IhavealreadystarteddoingresearchonAfter Effects,asseeninthepicturebelow. IlearnedandtookanelectiveclassofDigitalMedialast year,soIalreadyknowquiteabitaboutit.

ThiscommercialshowsexactlywhatIwanttodo.Iwilldoacommerciallikethisbutineachlittle clipitwillhaveDominickdosomethinggoodfortheISDcommunity.Itwillmakepeoplebecome moreinterestedbecauseitseyeappealing,hasacatchingbackgroundsongandsinceitis actuallyreallife,peoplecanrelatetoitmore.Thelayoutwillbeverysimilar,withtheclipsand goodactionsidea,howeverthecontentitselfwillbeverydifferentbecauseitwillshowDominick. Thiscommercialinspirespeopletodogoodthingsandmakespeoplethinkthatevenafterallthe badthingshappeninginthisworld(wars,drugs,teenagepregnancy,etc)thereisstillsomehope leftforhumanity.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT0ReOjS_6s Ialsowanttodoafunnycommercial,becauseasseeninthevideoabove,thefunny commercialsarealwaysthemorememorablecommercialsthatpeoplewanttowatchfora goodlaugh.Mostofthesecommercialsonyoutubehavemillionsofviews,becausetheyrethe kindsofcommercialsthatpeoplewanttowatch.Theyrefunnybecausetheyareridiculous,they exaggerate,theydotheimpossible.Forexample,onthefirstcommercialshestartseatingice creamoffthestatue,whichisabsolutelyridiculousbecausepeoplewouldntdothat.Italsogives offaweirdperspectivefromtheotherman.Thesecondcommercialisalsoridiculous,andit makesitfunnyhowsillyitis.Oneofthemiswithabusinessmaninthegymtalkingtohiswife onthephone,anditcanrelatetomarriedman.Itmakesitmorepersonal,eventhoughitsstill ridiculous.

4.Summarisetheanalysisofthefindingsfromarangeofsources relatedtothedevelopmentofapossiblesolution,cited appropriately.


IconductedasurveyaboutDominickwhereIaskedpeoplewhattheyknewabouthim.The answerswouldhelpmedecidewhatkindsofclipsiwoulduseformyadvertisements.Hereare theanswers:

Inconclusion,Ihavelearnedalotfrommyaudience.Theyprefercomedicadvertisementsand somybiggestchallengewillprobablybetobalanceeachscenesothatitmakesitrather comedicbutstillshowsthemainpointofthescene(kindness,etc).Iwilltrytohaveeachclip exaggeratedsothatitmakesDominickseemasakinder(perexample)personthanhereallyis, whichwouldalsomakeitfunnyduetothepossibleridiculousnessofthescene.Ialsolearneda lotfromwhatmyaudiencethinksofDominick.Mostpeoplethinkheisakindperson,so obviouslykindnesswillbethebiggestaspectofmycommercial,andhalfofthepeoplethat repliedsaidthathewouldhelphomelesspeopleandreturnyourwalletifyoudroppedit.Iused bothofthesequestionsbecauseeventhoughtheymightseempointless,theadIwatchedhad scenesofhelpinghomelesspeopleandreturningyourwalletifyoudroppedit,soIwantedtouse thatasscenes,andsincehalfofpeoplesaidhewoulddoboththings,Iwillprobablyinclude them.MostofthecommentsthatpeoplesentaboutDominickwerenicethings,butthemost importantcommentsarefromthepeoplethatdontknowhimverywellbecausecloserpeopleto himwillalreadyknowwhatthecommercialwillshow.Alotofthosecommentssaidthathewas nice,whichagain,willbethebaseofmycommercial.

IdidsomeresearchonAfterEffectsandlearnedtomake3Dtextandtorotateittogiveit differentanglesandchangethelighting.LastyearIalsolearnedalotaboutPhotoshop, especiallyinDigitalMedia,andIlearnedtodoseveralthings,likeaddeffects,changepictures, addthingstothepicturesandstilllookinglikepartofthepicture,andalsolearnedaboutseveral aspectsofphotographysuchasangles(closeup,etc),soIhavealotofexperiencewith photoshopandwillbeabletouseitifneeded.Also,lastyearweusedasoftwareforvideo editing,soIamalsoveryexperiencedwithit.Ifanythinggoeswrongwiththatonehowever,Ican alsouseSonyVegasorWindowsMovieMaker.
