To The |-JOBS Board:
It has come to our attention that a recent Gazette editorial written by Joel Miller,
Joan McCalmant, and Mike Stevenson may be having some impact on the
funding decisions being made by the JOBS board.
After the article was written we were better able to understand some of the
issues involved in making the decision for applying for funding and for renovating
‘the current Administrative Office Building for Linn County.
‘We definitely support the Board of Supervisors in their application for funding and
in their efforts to find a solution to permanent housing for the administrative
functions for Linn County. We also know that there will be a public input process
that will inform the decision-making.
While we had concerns about the location close to Penford, we also now know
that there would be changes to the building and in the surrounding area that
would address most of our concems.
It is with that knowledge that we ask you give every consideration to the funding
application for Linn County for the Administrative Offices.
Thank you,
ike*Stvenson McCalmant Joe! Miller
