ACT I

Scene: City backdrop Curtains open to a city scape and the sound of cars honking and chatter fades away. Lights turn on to reveal the group of male soapboxers on and around a bench. Each wearing the a leather vest with Soapbox logo on the back *WCA runs onto stage in a panic* WCA: Guys Guys!..... You aint going to believe what happened. The cops took Maurico downtown! *an uproar of questions is shouted from the group all at once* Senor: Yo Danny, Calm down. What happened? WCA: I dont know, They weren t answering nuttin. Wheres KG?! iPodTouch: He just called up, he was taking care of some soapbox business. He should be here any second *enter Koolguy and PTL on a motorcycle from stage left* LangdonA: Here he is! *PTL steps off bike and Koolguy removes his helmet* Koolguy: Thanks babe *PTL and Koolguy kiss and PTL exits* *Lights up a cigarette and smiles to the crew* Koolguy: Sup guys, whats wrong with Danny? WCA: KG, They took Maurico. The cops! Koolguy: That idiot, its the 8th time this month they took him down. Cant this guy keep his hands in his pockets WCA: Nah KG, it aint that this time. I heard The Haters were hanging out at the pizza place down the road. *iPod stands up in anger* iPodTouch: Thats our joint, they know not to come to our side of town! Koolguy: Relax guys, lets just go down there and pay a little visit and find out whats going on. Im sure its nothing that cant be talked out.

*Koolguy, iPod, Senor, WCA, Sevenwholemarijuana, and Resident all start chattering to each other* The lights dim down and the car noises and sirens fade up again. The curtains close.
