My birthday was in this past six weeks, and naturally I had a good time. As always if my birthday landed on a school day I would go to school and acquire my presents afterwards. I did not expect much as I had not asked for much this year despite it being the coveted eighteenth birthday. My family never fails to exceed those expectations, though. They gave me a Camp Longhorn silver merit key chain, a Nirvana t-shirt, a Jimi Hendrix t-shirt, a decent load of cash, and some blank CDs for me to put music on. Obviously, I was thankful and very happy with my family. Later on came the best part; my mother always cooks my favorite meal, slow-cooked tender chicken with rice and sweet peas, on my birthday. What made this even better was the fact that I had my friend, Joanna, come to eat with me and watch a movie afterwards. All of that culminated to make a perfect birthday for me.
