    A 38-year-old woman, G1P0A0, was referred to the hospital at term pregnancy with fetal distress and a history of amniotic fluid leakage for one day. At admission, her temperature was 38.7°C, contractions were 3 in 10 minutes, dilation was 9 cm, descent was H2 with caput and leukocyte count was 28,800mm3. The fetal heart rate improved to 176 bpm after resuscitation. She was diagnosed with term pregnancy, active labor stage 1, intrapartum infection and fetal distress. On the second day, her dilation was 4 cm with the terminal line palpated more than 2/3 and she was diagnosed with a contracted pelvis
