ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF USING CARTOON MOVIE BEE MOVIE ON STUDENTS VOCABULARY ACHIEVEMENT AT THE SECOND GRADE OF SMP

NEGERI 14 KENDARI EPPHY SUSIYANTY JASMIN A1D4 09 015 The population of this study was all students of the second grade of SMP Negeri 14 Kendari who registered in academic year 2013/2014. The sample of this study was all students at class VIII.2 with total number of students are 34. The instrument of this study used vocabulary test which consisted 25 items in the form matching on English word with their appropriate meaning, Based on the analysis result of pre-test and post-test through SPSS in form of test, the calculation of tcount (15,69) was higher that ttable (1.780) in the level of significance 0.05, df=31. It indicated that null hypothesis (H0) was totally rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was completely accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using Cartoon Movie Bee Movie on students vocabulary achievement at the second grade of SMP Negeri 14 Kendari.

The result of Reliaility Test The table above shows that the reliability statistics of the test was 0.835. in r-table Coefficient Correlation (Reliability), the value 0.835 was higher than the value on r-table 0.361. the value of rtable was gained from DF= N-2 and probability = 0.05. As ??? (???) stated that reliability level (alpha value) of 0.835 was in high level. This could be concluded that the test was applicable for pre test and post test in this study.
