1.1 What is AutoCAD?


AutoCAD is a computer-aided design (CAD) program used for 2-D and 3-D design and drafting. AutoCAD is developed and marketed by Autodesk Inc. since 1982 and was one of the initial CAD programs that could be executed on personal computers.

1.2 Adv. /Disadvantages of AutoCAD


CAD Advantages: Accurate, precise, & immediately alterable. Anybody can do the design work (anybody, anywhere who can access the design). CAD Disadvantages: Have to train people to use the software Expensive Implementation.
