Throughout Germany and Austria, Nazis ruthlessly attacked the Jews. They destroyed their property and valuable things. Many Jewish people were killed on these nights. The name Kristallnacht originates from the amount of Jewish shops broken and the great value of glass that was destroyed. 8. It was solution that started in the summer of 1941 and was believed to answer the Jewish question and create an end to the Jews. Hitler believed that his race was pure. To protect this racial purity he then

thought about getting rid of Jews along with other races considered subhumans. When the Nazi party obtained power in Germany, Hitler tried to force Jewish emigration. 9. In the beginning Hitler used simpler methods, such as firing at them and throwing their bodies into pits. They soon concluded that this took too much time so they began to use other methods. They gathered Jews in concentration camps and most of them were killed by starvation, disease, and gas chambers. After the Jews died, the Nazis would burn their bodies in crematoriums. 10. The ghettos were created in Poland to round up the Jews in one specific area. All of the Jews were moved into ghettos where there was barbed wire surrounding the area in. They were getting a preview of the labor camps because Germans made them do work in both. 11. In the Warsaw Ghetto, life was unbearable. Overcrowding was very common, plumbing always broke, and multiple families had to live in one apartment. People were always starving, and the Germans tried to starve residents by letting them only purchase small amounts of food. Some residents had money to trade with other residents for necessities. Some were forced to beg and steal to survive. During the winter heating was very scarce. Disease was very common in the Warsaw Ghetto. 12. It shows Jews being relocated in the Ghetto. 17. To keep all of the Jews and undesirables in one spot so they could kill them easier. 18. Jews and anybody else that fit the undesirable description. 19. The Nazis had 6 major camps. 20. Prisoners lived in old brick barracks. Several hundred three-tier wooden bunk beds were installed in each building. More than 700 people were assigned to each barrack. These barracks lacked any true heating source and didnt have bathrooms. Dampness, leaky roofs, and prisoners suffering from diarrhea made difficult living conditions even worse. The barracks swarmed with various sorts of vermin and rats. A constant shortage of water for washing, and the lack of usable sanitary facilities just made the situation worse. 21. Based on my previous research, about 3,000,000 Jews lived in Poland already. Why transport them somewhere else when you can

just build concentration camps where they already live and kill them there?

22. On January 20, 1942, Reinhard Heydrich, Himmlers second in command of the SS, created the Wannsee Conference in Berlin with 13 top Nazi bureaucrats to coordinate the Final Solution. This is where the Nazis would attempt to exterminate the entire Jewish population of Europe, an estimated 11 million people. 23. About 3 million Jews were killed in the camps. 24. Approximately another 3 million people were killed that werent Jews. 25. They made them go on death marches because they didnt want the world to know about what went on in the camps. They wanted to get rid of everything so they made the prisoners go on death marches where obviously many died by being killed by the Nazis or from disease/fatigue. 26. Oskar Schlinder is a famous German business owner. He bought captured Jews and had them work for him in his factories. He saved thousands of Jews from concentration and death camps. He had great sympathy for the Jews and believed what Hitler was doing was an abomination. He obtained an enamelware factory in Krakow Poland and employed around 1,000 Jewish workers. To keep his workers safe, Schindler had to bribe Nazi officials with gifts like luxury items and exclusive goods. Schindler often went to the Krakau-Plaszow concentration camp and bribed the Nazis with personal diplomacy and bribes to ensure the well being of the Jews.
